About this site
Still experimental and growing all the time, this site is designed to give users of small-screen mobile devices, quick access to a range of useful tools on the University of Melbourne website.
Pages are designed to be as lightweight and compatible as possible, so that the widest possible range of mobile devices can use them with minimum data cost.
Navigation
Most mobile phone browsers allow you to use the number keys as accesskeys. On all pages within this site there is common a navigation menu that can be accessed using those keys... eg: 1 = Home page, 2 = Web search etc.
There are limits
While navigating this site, mobile users should have a smooth and seamless experience, however some links will lead you away from this site and you might find things a little more difficult. We'll be working to improve the experience on as many sites as possible, but it all takes time.
An alternative might be to use Google's Mobile Transcoder, which converts pages which might otherwise be difficult to view into a more suitable format. Try some of these links to view unimelb resources via Google:
